printing text with footnotes

I never used to have a problem with this.

I'm pasting text from Logos to Word.  The text has footnotes.  I have setting set to copy both citations and footnotes.  It does nothing.  And in the text, the footnote numbers appear full size and on the line rather than as superscript.  No footnotes to be seen.

What am I doing wrong?  I used to do this all the time.
