Reading a book outside Verbum/Logos but use notes or clippings
Dear all,
I am reading a book which is not available in Verbum. I would like to use the notes / clipping feature of Verbum. Any thoughts or suggestions?
The clipping is better for export and subsequent use but seems to work only from inside Verbum. Notes can be used by copying text from the book but then the subsequent use is limited.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestion....
Cheers and God bless
Guido

First, welcome to the forums!
I recently posted a very similar inquiry specific to Clippings and the answers were negative. There's really no simple way of using them with a resource not resident in the software. (There's the whole PB thing, but that's a ton of work.) The clincher is, Clippings can't be created from nothing...have to be tied to a resource.
Notes can be created in a vacuum, but they can't be attached or organized well after that.
There are a few work-arounds some of the experts may suggest, but I haven't found one I'm willing to use.
Eating a steady diet of government cheese, and living in a van down by the river.

Hey Guido, here is way around it but it would be nice if LOGOS would make the add a clipping button work!!!
Do a clipping from any book you may have, and then go into the clipping you just did and you can backspace it out or cut it out.
Then copy what ever you want and then go into Verbum and paste it inside the clipping you just took out.
Good luck!!!
