Wireless Mouse Trouble

I've got a very annoying issue with my wireless mouse in Logos on my LapTop. When I press and hold down the left mouse button to drag an object in Logos Desktop, the object sometimes gets dragged but most of the time it opens. Sometimes when I click a Resource Tab a "New Tab" opens. Customization is a nightmare.

I truly hope there is a simple solution. My trackpad is disabled when the external mouse is plugged in. The behavior seems to be only in Logos. The mouse's click speed doesn't influence this behavior. The battery is charged.

I'm praying for a solution and would welcome any idea, hack or tip as an answer to this prayer.

Is your Logos' Program Scaling set to 100%? What if you return it to 100% (in Tools > Program Settings)?

Otherwise, the usual way to resolve this issue is to get another mouse and see if the behaviour is replicated (it doesn't have to be a wireless mouse).

Sounds like the button switch is being activated twice instead of once. If you don't have a spare mouse to troubleshoot with.There's a couple of things that might help confirm it's a mouse problem, see pic below (Control Panel / Mouse). 1) Try switching the left click to the right button (Warning: this will mess with your muscle memory) hit apply and see if it solves the issue in Logos, if so switch it back and see if it returns. If it does, it' could be a faulty switch in the mouse. 2) You can try adjusting the double click setting to max Slow, press apply then click once on the folder icon pic to see if it activates the open folder icon (this will confirm an accidental double click is being recognised). If so, try setting it to max Fast and hit apply and try a single left click on the icon again. If that solves it the unwanted second click is not happening immediately. Hope that helps.

The current mouse is actually a new one because I experienced it with the old one as well. But it seems to be a wireless mouse problem, I'll see if there is a wired one laying around somewhere.

If you really want to have fun, you use the touchpad on an MSI. It's almost impossible to navigate the little mouse creature with a complete will of its own.

This worked! The little left button is damaged then. When switching back it seems to be working fine, I'll monitor it for a while.

The muscle memory thing is something else to troubleshoot, does anyone know of a biological hack? [*-)]

PJ, glad that helped [Y]. If the problem doesn't return it could've been a software glitch. Hopefully it'll remain stable now and you can get back to enjoying Logos.
