Search question: what different Bible characters have said about prayer?

Hi search experts:

While doing some research, I came across the following:

 "When we break down the sixty-some-odd prayers that Jesus prayed (or times that he taught on prayer) in Scripture, we discover that Jesus’ prayers fall into five major focus areas:

Prayer Focus 1: Jesus Prays for Our Relationship with the Father

It is real good, so I was wondering if one could search in the Bible what {Speaker <Person XXXXX>} said about Subject:prayer.

My initial try was using Morris Proctor's technique:

Did a passage list of all the Bible verses related to prayer from a resource like the Catholic Topical Index.

Then I searched in that passage list for the {Speaker <person God>}, but it seems to not have gotten the particular verses in which God talks about prayer.

Eventually I would like to do a search not only about what God said about prayer, but also what Paul, Peter, John, etc. have said about it to try to find principles much in the way the resource quoted above synthesized.

Any suggestions, ideas, special techniques recommended?, maybe I am missing something.
