The source of 3 Ezra 1:5 is http://www.bombaxo.com/biblical-stuff/apocrypha-and-pseudepigrapha/new-testament-allusions-to-apocrypha-and-pseudepigrapha/ Shouldn't the conversion occur automatically as in other Bible books with multiple names?
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking, but "3 Ezra" is not a supported Bible book name. See https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_Bible_Book_Names.
MJ, as you know Esdras/Ezra is a minefield. 3 Ezra is a weird way to reference it – an anglicised version of a Latin reference system. In Logos (rightly, in my view), the Vulgate datatype uses 3 Esdras to mean what you are calling 1 Esdras/3 Ezra.
If you specify the datatype (vul2) in your dynamic text reference, then I think Logos might be able to understand 3 Esdras, even though that's not on the list of Bible books. But it will never understand 3 Ezra, because no Bible in Logos uses that nomenclature (at least not that I could find).
