Loop logic....

Howdy from Texas, and Happy New Year!

What I've noticed for a long time is that, if we download new resources, the little drop down list that appears in the upper right corner is usually missing one of the new resources, although that resource does appear in the Library list (sorted according to most recently added).

I'm wondering if there is a need to edit the Loop Logic which creates that list in the upper right hand corner? My computer programming training taught that, if we don't construct the FOR NEXT or WHILE NOT EOF logic just so, the resulting list does miss one item in the original source data.

Just now, a resource was missing at first, but when I started this thread, and went back to the program, there it was. Perhaps this adjustment has already been handled?

I have noticed the same and checked my library a few times to make sure the resource I expected had download as it was not showing in the list.

Is it missing only while the library is updating (which causes a warning in library) or after the library is completely updated including indexing? My experience to the extent I have noticed is that it is the former.

Even after indexing completion there is one title missing. Prior index indexing completion all titles used to show. I can sometimes go a couple of days before restarting the computer and it is usually only at that point the missing title shows in the list if at all. In rare instances it does not seem to show because the resource has been previously licensed to me temporarily ( but now expired) and so it did not actually download but just has a license status change if there were no fine changes. But that has not been the norm with it happening recently. It has been completely new to my library resources.

I wouldn't worry as long as it appears in Library. I find that it usually appears after a restart of Logos (if I have to do a restart for other reasons).

Thank you all for your comments and advice. I will look more carefully as to the way this behaves, thanks to comments like that of M.J. Smith.

My only point in mentioning this is that, if it really is as simple a thing as "re-code the loop logic," then Logos can do that in a matter of minutes. And all will be well.

It's kind of a marketing issue. 15 or 20 minutes of effort to cause one less minute of alarm in the users only increases the trust in those users. Blessings to all.
