BUG/QUESTION: Saving of Canvas Document

I had a new Canvas diagram for which I had supplied a title and worked on for a couple of hours when the power went off. I was surprised that when the power returned, the Canvas diagram had disappeared - not ever having been saved apparently. How is it supposed to behave in such circumstances? And how do I force periodic saves?

I'm surprised that Canvas documents are not saved in the same way other user created documents are.

Can you see the Canvas on documents.logos.com?
