Frankly, this one was a 50-50 for me. A bit pricey, but I figured to get it, just to fill out the series so far. I was wrong.
It includes a fascinating discussion of how to best fake an older Jewish writing. Make it look like it was originally hebrew.
The writer goes through a lengthy review, and analyses with faking tests (really). After all this work, he thinks it might indeed be hebrew. But then he's impressed by how clever the writer is in greek. He gives up.
When I was doing the same, but with neural networks, I also gave up on Judith ... the neural net could easily predict the writer ... it was suspiciously too easy.
Well, anyway, if you've enjoyed the odd connection of Jubilees to the Samaritan, and other writing clues in the late 2nd Temple, this volume will keep you busy. Don't just file it.
