Not much to add, seems like a simple request.
It is a simple request but, personally, I find page numbers intrusive unless I need them for a particular purpose.
So interested in why you would like this as a default option.
Click the triangle icon to the right of "Show page numbers" to display a menu that turns the visual filter on in all resources.
