Possible bug

In several places in the Andersen-Forbes Phrase Marker Analysis 0.90 database, hovering over constructs does not show any popup info. For example, in Gen 41;49, "to increase very" is an infinitive absolute: grammar, hovering over its name and the name to its immediate right does not give the grammar information in a tooltip like the Comparison: Grammar structure immediately above it.

Is this a software problem, database problem, or something else?

Poking around at some of the other grammatical constructs in that verse and adjacent ones, I see that the tooltip never seems to work for "sent discrs" either. I don't really know how to use syntax searching yet. Is it possible to search for all other occurrences of "inf abs amp gram" and "inf abs mod" and see if this problem is just with those grammatical constructs wherever they occur?

Incidentally, is there no way to search within AFPMA? I wanted to press Ctrl+F and type inf abs mod to see if I could find other occurrences of this construct, but no dice. I also wanted to right click on that one occurrence and be able to select "Search this resource" and do a syntax search for it, but again no such luck. "Search all open resources" is available on the right-click menu, but it finds nothing in AFPMA which is open. Hmm... it would be nice if one or more of these search techniques worked. Any clues for this biblical language syntax challenged soul?

Search the A-F Glossary. You have to figure that inf abs means "infinitive absolute" and the results may give some idea how you search for it (Clause IC, Phrase etc), but it is a very poor substitute for a proper assistance to search the arcane structures. It took a while to figure that inf/abs union/disj is a Phrase!

BTW you can search AFAT on the Context menu with some of the syntactic attributes.

Rosie, get a copy of this CD from Logos, it's only $5 which pays for the shipping I guess. The syntax search videos are awesome, while it's in Logos 3 it's easy to figure it out in version 4. You will find this minimal investment a great one, and these videos are not all available for download on the Logos site!

Yeah, that's already on my list of things to order next time I contact my sales rep. My main problem though is I don't even know Greek so I wouldn't know what to search for, nor why I'd want to. I don't know an aorist from my aorta. I'm looking forward to getting my Learn to Use Greek & Hebrew videos.
