Linked resources

Has anyone had logos 4 stop responding after linking a significant number of resources together. I linked about 8 bibles to letter "A" and about 6 commentaries to letter "B", then logos for became non-responsive. I then rebooted logos 4 in a blank layout, logos 4 was then responsive deleted the linked layout and opened the same layout with the exception of no resources were linked and the software remained responsive.

Logos support suggest linking a number of resources should not cause unresponsiveness. I would appreciate feedback and suggestions

I'm not sure how helpful these comments might be, but just a report on what I've seen ...

Mostly, Logos4 works very well for me, but there are times when my laptop is "very busy" for whatever reason, and Logos4 goes black with "Not Responding" message.

I have another major product that also makes heavy use of the .NET Framework (as used by Logos4), and it too sometimes gives the same black screen and "Not Responding" from time to time.

In each case, its generally when I've had Emai, Word and a bunch of other stuff open or working hard doing something. It seems in my view, to be the Microsoft .NET subsystems doing it, rather than the "fault" of either Logos4 or the other application I have that does it too.

In my case, just waiting without pressing keys or clicking the mouse, and it normally comes OK again within 10-30 seconds, then continues without error or problems.

Microsoft have recently released a new version of their .NET Framework, and Logos tells us that the Logos Bible Software will be using that new version once the issues are resolved.

Clearly it is not the case but I would not link more than two or three resources anyway!

Reduce the number of resources that are linked and make use of Parallel Resource sets (PRS) eg. put your 8 bibles into one Collection and the 6 commentaries into another and link one of the bibles to one of the commentaries. If you want them to scroll independently then open another bible and/or commentary without linking them.
