I read many books to include bibles in Logos Bible Software that I finish and start more. My print bible I use in church. I also read on average 2 to 3 books in print all the time. I finish and start new books all the time.. I never use my phone or tablet to read anything in my library.

5. Have you read a whole book on a smart phone? = yes, many of them.
6. Do you read whole books on a tablet? = yes but not a lot (see above answer on #3)
7. How often do you read the Bible on the above media? What medium do you prefer? = I read the Bible though a few times/year, and do that almost exclusively on my laptop
8. How often do you read a whole Bible book on a smartphone, tablet, or in a Bible software program? = I read several book per month on a combination of all three. My preferred way to read the Bible is on my laptop and my preferred way to read a book is on my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Over the past fifteen years, I have been going through the whole Bible in a variety of versions, in print and in two audio versions. I attend an evangelical Anglican church, but am of credobaptist persuasion. Some of the versions I've used are from outside my tradition, including two versions which incorporate the Apocrypha. Some may have been produced by folk who had a different understanding of the authority of the Scriptures, including the two I've mentioned and maybe The Bible for Everyone, by John Goldingay and Tom Wright

I found the study notes in the New Jerusalem Bible unsettling, because of the stance concerning the accuracy and authoirty of the Bible.

By "bible book," you mean "Acts," "Romans," and "Psalms," right? The answer would be several a month, at least... but rarely one in any one sitting.

(strange way to phrase the question. I read primarily on my laptop and use Logos Bible Software there, but I probably use the Kindle cloud reader more, mostly for fiction. I also use the Kindle for PC app, the Chrome browser and the Adobe Reader for PDFs etc. on my laptop to read whole books but not so often as the Logos Bible Software. Logos definitely tops for non-fictional books).2. How often do you read a whole book in hard copy? probably one or two a month, has decreased considerably over the years
3. How often do you read a whole book with an ereader? this is rare, my Kindle device is nearly exclusively used in summer vacation

5. Have you read a whole book on a smart phone? Sure. Especially when traveling by train or by plane, but also during normal days, reading on the smartphone is convenient. I read more books on the smart phone than in hard copy. I use the Kindle app, but also the Logos app.
6. Do you read whole books on a tablet? this is as rare as the ereader, possibly because the tablet is an old Kindle Fire mostly lying around idle or used for some games.
7. How often do you read the Bible on the above media? What medium do you prefer? I find that I read the bible on my laptop (in Logos, of course) and on my smartphone nearly exclusively, save for small group. While I still like the printed book with persistent markups etc, conveniently jumping to cross-references, easily reading multiple translations and (a big one) adjusting the print size on screen, as well as having it constantly in front of me or with me has settled this for the laptop and the smart phone.
8. How often do you read a whole Bible book on a smartphone, tablet, or in a Bible software program? Both my regular bible reading plan and the schedule of my small group work on pericopes rather than whole books. Accumulating those readings over the weeks, months and years, I probably should say I read on average a book per month or even more. Only now and then I may read a smaller bible book in one go (and then use either Logos or the smartphone for it - can't remember when I last read a whole Bible book in a paper bible, maybe a year ago or more, possibly Philemon or one of John's letters)

I tell some that are trying to read the Bible cover to cover that bog down in Leviticus to skip Leviticus and finish the rest of the Bible. Then when they finish and someone asks if they have read the entire Bible they can say that they have read all except Leviticus. After admitting that they did not read Leviticus they will find the motivation to read Leviticus.

I am grateful for the interesting answers folk have given to my little survey. They help me to think about giving some tips for Bible reading in my coming talk. And they have shown me quite a variety of ways that people read these days.

David and Denise have commented on my section “Three Bibles to avoid” in my seminar on Bible translations.
Im still working on it, but here is where I will probably land:
There are many excellent English translations available today. I notice that some Christians tend to stick with one translation, or type of translation. One aim of my presentation is to get people to read several different translations and different types of translations
Although I’ve enjoyed reading some Bibles by individual translators (which include The Good News Bible, which was largely done by Robert Bratcher, the J B Phillips New Testament in Modern English, and the Goldingay/Wright Bible For Everyone), I think that Bibles created by a committee are usually more reliable and are less likely to be written with an agenda.

tablet2. How often do you read a whole book in hard copy? rarely, the last one I read cover to cover was probably 3 months ago. In any format, I tend to read with a highly targeted research agenda. So I tend to read entries in dictionaries, sections in commentaries, journal articles, chapters and so on and skip over what is not relevant or less useful.

4. How often do you read a whole book with Logos Bible Software? a bit more often but again just a handful of entire books per year
5. Have you read a whole book on a smart phone? never that I can recall
6. Do you read whole books on a tablet? rarely. I prefer the reading experience on the tablet but use the desktop more because it is more convenient for notetaking and using other features on the go that enhance my study.
7. How often do you read the Bible on the above media? What medium do you prefer? daily, I alternate based on mood and eye fatigue between the hard copy and Logos desktop on the PC or tablet.
8. How often do you read a whole Bible book on a smartphone, tablet, or in a Bible software program? I have read most Bible books in one sitting at some point but since I know them quite well now, I tend to prefer to read slowly to pay closer attention to individual passages, ponder, dig into exegetical questions and explore practical implications (which often take me to other passages and books of the Bible). I also use other methods than entire book reading to conduct study at the macro level (using introductions, searching and looking up themes and use of vocabulary etc).0 -
