Media search parameter changes will not persist

Im on 8.11.0.0017
Mac OS 10.14.6 (18G2022)
When I change the media search settings, the changes will not persist. No matter what I do, the settings default back to searching for only table images.
What might I be doing wrong?

I'm able to replicate the behavior and I've reported this behavior to development with a link to this thread.
