here is the log file
5327.Logos4IndexerCrash.txt
Tom, is that log file from the second time you tried it? The error message there is "The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process" which would seem to indicate that a file was left open/locked for update, which might be an indication that a crash had occurred earlier so the file didn't get properly closed. I'm guessing if you reboot (which closes down all open files), and try again you'll have better luck. If that doesn't work, please post your Logos4.log file and Logos4Indexer.log.
No, this was the first (and only time) I have tried to update L4 in the last month or so.
Have you been able to successfully complete indexing? Any update from 4.0c to any version of 4.0d (beta or release candidate, or eventually the final released version) will force a complete reindex because of some internal stuff that changed. In order to be able to get accurate search results, you'll need to try reindexing if it hasn't already automatically restarted the indexing process after a reboot. Just run Logos and type "rebuild index" into the command bar.
If it is still crashing, we (and Logos) will need to see the diagnostic log files, not just the crash file, in order to diagnose the problem. See http://wiki.logos.com/Diagnostic_Logging for more info.
