If I try to rename items in the Favorites folder, a blue highlight appears, and the text disappears. There is no curser, and typing does not do anything. See screen recording and screenshot below...

I can confirm this bug on macOS 10.15.3. Even after multiple attempts, I cannot rename a favorite.

Recently? No idea. This has been an issue in the past. Have no idea if it was ever "fixed" or not.
