SUGGESTION: a simplified reading app
I have been thinking about how great it would be to have a simplified Logos app for a while so I figured it might be worth sharing on the forum to see if others have an appetite for it as well.
The Logos mobile app is very good. I use it frequently and enjoy the experience. However, on my budget phone, it doesn't run very fast. Lately, I have thought about purchasing an e-reader that runs android so I can use Logos, but I keep thinking about how clunky it would be on a device that runs Android 5.
It got me thinking, why doesn't Logos build a simple reading app with none of the bells and whistles of the mobile app? I mean, bare bones: reading and highlighting. They already have an e-book app that runs similarly to the Logos app. Why not create an e-book app that's simple and utilitarian? Are there others who would appreciate something like that?

I don't think that's necessary, because the app isn't particularly slow on e-reader devices. And if you don't need the bells and whistles, just don't use them. Development effort is much better spent on new features and resources that benefit everyone than on supporting legacy devices.
I just did some performance comparison on my e-reader and my Samsung Galaxy. There's no major performance difference.
Initial startup (when not running in background already): e-reader 25 sec. Galaxy 30 sec. (a bit slow because I have 9000+ resources downloaded on each device).
Starting from background process: e-reader and Galaxy both 2 sec.
Open library: e-reader 4 sec. Galaxy 5 sec.
Open resource: e-reader and Galaxy both 4 sec.
Turn page: e-reader 2 sec. Galaxy instantly.

"on a device that runs Android 5" - please be aware that Logos is no longer supported on Android 5 devices.
