I asked the same question through the online chat. I was told that pricing sometimes changes for pre-orders. I was contemplating ordering it but realized credits don't apply good pre-orders. I paused on the order in the morning and the price changed in the afternoon.
This happens at times when Faithlife discovers that the cost of producing the resource is considerably more than their original estimate. Usually, when the resource is released we can make educated guesses as to why the initial estimate was low.
Just noticed an increase on a pre-pub resource I put on order only a couple of days ago. Just under $10 increase but it represents a 20% change.
The cost of making resources isn't likely to go down from what I can tell.
Michael, if I understand you correctly, you seem to be saying that credit that is already on your account cannot be used for PrePubs. Actually, it can. Just go to https://www.logos.com/account/credits and check the box for "Use available credit before credit card on Pre-Publication orders."
That box is checked. I confirmed with 2 different Logos reps that credits cannot be used on pre-orders.
I don't know who you talked with, but I use credits frequently on pre-pubs. As recently as 2 weeks ago.
Pre-Pub price: $20.00 Sales Tax: $0.00 Credit: $16.07 Today's Total: $20.00
I don't think there's a difference between pre-pubs and pre-orders.
I can confirm that credits can be used on pre-pub orders.
However, credits cannot be set aside for specific pre-pubs. By that I mean, is that if that box is checked, any available credit will be applied to each Pre-Pub at the time that each one goes live. But there is nothing to stop you from using that credit for something else in the meantime.
