Highliting

For a few reasons, I have a dark background-really black background and my letters are white.

sometimes the highlight is ok when changing colors of text but that is not what I want.

With various highlight methods, it makes the text unreadable.

My first question, is there a way to highlight a portion of text already highlighted and then be able to delete the highlight(where it goes back to normal with no text.)Teally that is what I want to know how to do because with how I have it set up on my phone-will have to experiment with different ways to highlight.

    I have it figured out now. If you select a word highlighted with one tap-several options come up. if you press the garbage can on the left, it will delete your highlight. If you have more than one, just do the same operation.
