Changing Table of Contents on a Personal Book

I have made a personal book, but the table to contents arent what I want for the book.  Is there any way to edit these? I would like it to be more detailed.

    I assume that you mean the TOC feature built into the resource window, rather than an early page in the book with hyperlinks. 

    The TOC is built by the use of the appropriate "heading styles" in Word. "Lower" heading styles will nest into "Higher" ones.
