What are you dong to get your teens involved in the word during this time when youth groups and Sunday school classes are probably not meeting?

From the flood of replies you both seem to have touched a raw nerve!!.To stick my head out:-4 years ago two mums of early-teen boys came to my wife stating that their boys did not want to come to our small church for the main service any more. The boys were bored to tears and thought (with some good reason) that no one was interested in them. They did not mind the teen bible class prior to the main service but found it irrelevant (and the girls too dominant). I am trying to remember any young men who have stayed in the church over the last 20 plus years that we have been here. What training did my wife have? She is a retired teacher of Home Economics and Geography and a keen bible student using bible and concordance plus the internet with help from our denomination Bible commentary. Plus growing help from Logos! Her material is as professional as she can make it with her lap top and a cast off monitor. What was the church members reaction? Just don't ask!To cut a long story short, for those four years, 3 to 4 boys have been meeting, fortified with with crisps and fruit juice, in our house near the church during the main service time. They have an inter-active bible study class (a home brew of my wifes creation) in discussion format in the style in which they are taught at school rather than the "fill up the milk bottle" style that the main service seemed to be to them. They are taught to analyse the bible accounts and she endeavors to build up a relationship with God within them which was previously basically non-existent. You need to live in the UK to understand the need for that. They are normal kids and like using their brains (shock horror). We now have had to close our churches. When my wife suggested they go on skype three were enthusiastic, and those three boys now meet with my wife voluntarily from within their own homes, via Skype, to continue with what they normally do face to face. What will the results be? Only God knows. What can one draw from this? Only that we reap what we sow. If the teens were there on sufferance prior to Covid they will not be there on-line during Covid.Whether this will continue on Skype during Covid, especially when one will soon be leaving for Uni, remains to be seen.Certainly it should be a wake-up call for how we all do church for our young people when things get back to normal. No, our young people are not the church of tomorrow, they are the church of today. All our prayers are needed for both our young people and also your young people during this time.
