Licenses User ID's and Piracy a thought

I suspect the changes in L4 with no local licence are an anti piracy measure

However, even if we are allowed to make local backups of our licences we/you can kill any piracy dead in the water, with minimal risk..

I think my licence was compromised back in 2.1 days, If you at Logos could change our id email ias requested in various places and times over the forums, (I did at time and was told no, it couuld not be done) problem is immediately solved, let me explain why, the current way of cloud dowloading licences at startup could/would kill any piracy dead, all it needs if id not found is sorry your licence is not valid, please consider purchasing software message

    If I understand you, I think I must disagree.  The licenses are not checked by the cloud at startup as is proven by the fact that you can use the program without being connected.  It still works.
