Pronunciation Missing in Context Menu

The pronunciation option has disappeared from my context menu. I don’t know if this is a bug or I accidentally turned off a setting somewhere. How do I get it back?
I’m using Logos 8.13.0.0000 (Beta) on macOS 10.15.4.

What do you have selected on the left side of the context menu?

Actually, I see it now. I have to click on the lemma. Is that a change? I am sure I didn't have to do that before. It just always appeared directly on the context menu.

What you previously selected on the LHS becomes the default for the next time. Lemma selection is necessary for Pronunciation; so if you make another selection on the LHS, it will not be available.

Thanks, Dave. That’s helpful and appears to be the case.

Hey, everyone. I too need some technical assistance.
So, I'm using Logos 9 for Mac, and for the life of me, I cannot find any way to access the pronunciation feature for Hebrew or Greek words in my reverse interlinear. As you can see in the attached screenshot, there is no "Pronounce" option available under the "Lemma" context menu (only "Factbook" and "Bible Word Study").
Furthermore, when I select "Tools" and "Pronunciation," the only option available in the drop-down list is "English Factbook Entries," so that's no help either.
How can I tell whether or not I have this feature/dataset installed? If I don't, I sure hope it won't require an expensive purchase.
Thanks in advance!
Jeremy

@Jeremy Arnold, Check out this page and select "compare subscriptions". When comparing subscription features, look under "Original languages" to find "Pronounce Greek/Hebrew Lemmas". If next to that feature it says "new to you", this means you currently do not have access to it. In this case, I would recommend a Premium subscription. You can try it free for 30 days before being charged a monthly payment if you choose not to cancel.

Hi, @Aaron Hamilton. Thanks for responding.
I did as you said, and sure enough, I'm seeing "New to you" beside those features.
Isn't there some way one can make a one-time purchase and obtain/unlock the audio pronunciation tool for Hebrew and Greek Lemmas? I'm definitely not interested in paying a recurring subscription fee to access a simple feature that ought to be implemented into the base Logos software from the get-go. From what I gathered through Google searches, Logos users have had access to the pronunciation feature as far back as 2012, long before that subscription plan was introduced.
By the way, I also own the Lexham Hebrew Bible, which is supposed to feature audio pronunciations, but even with that resource, I see no pronunciation speaker/option anywhere.

The Pronounce Greek/Hebrew Lemmas feature has indeed been around for awhile, but as far as I know, it has never been included in the free version. Apparently, the particular Logos 9 package you purchased unfortunately did not include it. I would recommend, however, that you check out information on the Legacy Fallback License here.
As far as I know, since you have purchased a Logos 9 base package, you would be eligible to receive the LFL after subscribing consecutively for 24 months. This means that you could cancel your subscription and retain ownership of the Pronounce Greek/Hebrew Lemmas feature along with many other features. Every subscription level will have its own license which includes all of the ownable features of that level. Since the pronunciation feature is included in all three levels, however, you could go with the cheapest subscription option.
I would recommend subscribing for 24 months to acquire this license, because it's what I would choose for myself. There are subscription perks that I have included in the screenshot below that you will be able to enjoy during the duration of your subscription while you wait to acquire the Legacy Fallback License, granting you forever ownership of all of its included features (note that the LFL FAQ lists the features that are not included in the license).

Wow! Thank you kindly for informing me about this "Legacy Fallback" license! I've been really concerned about losing offline access to all of my purchased Logos books/resources once Logos stops supporting Mac OS 10.14 (Mojave) (I cannot upgrade beyond that OS with the computers I currently own). This Internet/Cloud-based stuff is for the birds. The LF license seems to be the way to prevent such a disaster.
I will definitely look into that further. In the meantime, I'm still stumped as to why I have no access to any of the audio pronunciation features, especially since I purchased Logos Basic back in 2009, so I'm not just using the free version.

Logos Basic back in 2009Logos 9 had many different levels of packages, with each level including different features. It appears that the package you purchased was not comprehensive enough to include the pronunciation features.

Then, presumably, I should just be able to upgrade to a higher level of Logos 9 and acquire the pronunciation features, right? If so, which packages or collections have these features, and which don't? I'm trying to find the cheapest way to obtain them.
Audio pronunciation for Greek words, for example, was available for purchase at one time for only $4.99:
Why is it no longer available, I wonder?

After reading your comment again, I'm surprised by the date you gave. Did you intend to say your most recent purchase was in 2009? This date is long before Logos 9 was released.
Logos no longer sells features or feature packages. The LFL is the cheapest way for you to gain permanent ownership of these features.

No, I purchased my first copy of Logos (Logos 4) for Mac in late 2009 and have upgraded freely since that time.
When exactly did Logos stop selling individual features/datasets and so forth in the Logos store? That really stinks. Based on what you're saying, the legacy license subscription is not only the cheapest way to obtain the audio pronunciation tools; it's the ONLY way, period! (In other words, if I want them in 2025, apparently, I have no other choice.)
That explains a lot.

Recently, with the launch of the subscriptions. However, even previously most features could not be purchased independently but had to be purchased as part of a package.
Based on what you're saying, the legacy license subscription is not only the

way to obtain the audio pronunciation tools; it's the ONLY way, period!I believe this is correct. Logos is moving away from feature ownership toward a subscription model. The advantage of this model is that one can cancel whenever one would like. So it's possible to remain subscribed through an intensive 6-month stretch and then take a break until it is needed again.
I get that not having ownership is a bummer, but Logos is leaning more heavily into cloud-based features and has decided that the traditional ownership model is no longer sustainable. On the plus side, at least for now, another round of ownership is entirely possible for you in the form of the LFL.

Yes, I've long been a strong opponent of modern software developers (and others) only licensing products now instead of allowing consumers to own them personally and indefinitely. (Of course, like most people, I dislike change in general, except of course for repentance toward Christ!) Nevertheless, I appreciate all this information, Aaron. You've been helpful.

Pronunciation is available provided you have the Pronunciation tool with Hebrew and Aramaic lemmas. For Greek bibles you need Greek lemma pronunciation e.g. Erasmian. Pronunciation is then available when you right click a word in the bible.
However, you need to check your eligibility to keep the tool as this subscription page will only show the Legacy Fallback License and related FAQs if you are eligible to earn it (scroll past the Plan options).
