Does anyone know if and when the MEV (Modern English Version) will be updated to Reverse-Interlinear?

Thanks,

Phil Gons said that it's on the list for 2020, but nothing more specific has been said. See here: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/188295/1089037.aspx#1089037

""The Modern English Version (MEV) is the most modern translation produced in the King James tradition in 30 years. The Modern English Version (MEV) is a translation of the Textus Receptus and the Jacob ben Hayyim edition of the Masoretic Text, using the King James Version as the base manuscript. The MEV is a literal word-for-word translation. It is also often referred to as a formal correspondence translation. The Committee on Bible Translation began their work on the MEV in 2005 and completed it in 2013.""

If it is using the KJV as a base try using the KJV reverse interlinear as a starting point.

My preferred translation has been the NASB95 for years, but I am abandoning it completely for personal reasons. I will not purchase the NASB20 or the future NLSB (New Legacy Standard Bible) when they come out.

So, how about using the NKJV as a comparative tool instead of the KJV? The kjv is way down at the bottom of my list. I don't like it, never did, and never will.

    Thanks,

I have gone back to the NASB-77, it is by far a better translation than the MEV. I do use it in parallel with the 95PV and HCSB.

The MEV now has a reverse interlinear. I got it when I upgraded to Logos 9. (It's available in Bronze or higher for Logos, and Starter or higher for Verbum.)

Sorry for the delay. Thanks for the information. I have started using the MEV again. Too bad the Publishers have abandoned this fine translation. I had hoped for an update with more references and more italics where the translators have added words to clarify the text.

I am also disappointed in where this translation is headed. I have the translation, but not the feature set to turn it into an interlinear.

I also like the NIrV. Logos does not have the updated edition published years ago that matches the editions being published in hardcopy. I have to use the text from a faithlife ebook version that cannot be synced with other versions in Logos.

Neither of the two translations that I want to supplement my first choice of the KJV is fully supported in Logos. Sigh! I keep a Kindle Fire beside my computer with the Tecarta App, and also have multiple other software open on my computer at the same time. Logos is a beast, but too often I use it as an ebook reader, because it does everything but what I want it to do.
