I was going thru the "learn Hebrew with Logos software" when I had occasion to examine closer a verse I have been working on.
In Gen 50:19, Joseph tells his brothers not to fear what may happen to them, since he had already forgiven them. I conducted a search for this word fear using the Hebrew underneath the English and found that this word fear is translated by the Hebrew word "Tirau". As I was going down the scripture listing I noticed in the Psalms that on some occasions the word fear has a Definite Article in front of it and the word for fear used in these circumstances is Yirat. I attempted to search for "Yirat" but all I got was the root word plus all the others like my first search.
One of my early conculsions was that "The Fear" differs from fear in that "The Fear" is the fear we have of the Lord when we realize His awesomeness as The God. This "The Fear" appears to be the kind of fear that returns a blessing from God to us. whereas the other fear is a fear of coming judgement without a possiblity of escape.
What I have been trying to do, (unsucessfully) was to either do a search where I could clearly see, "The Fear" being identified with God's fear or a visual filter that would highlight this. I fully understand my conculsion could be wrong but as a matter of learning how to use the original languages with Logos I thought someone might be able to help me even if it is with correction.
Again I thank you all ahead of time for your help in this matter.
