My use for Logos is not what most people are using it for... (And this is thinking out loud)...
On one hand ,I either start a verse or a topic, and (1) search for related verses and from that list start digging into,(2) the dictionaries and commentaries and maps and encyclopedias, then (3) go to the interlinears, and parallel read the text in the interlinear, see the underlying greek or hebrew word and word study the original word and see the other usages... (4) go to a jewish , based version of the text, or say DSS or masorectic text or something like that...
and chase through the whole passage that way or search through all the related verse's.
I guess I can set up a work space and do each individual thing...
take topic one, get the 1st verse, read it in the interlinear, do a word study on one word, then back track to the verse, go into 1 commentary, back to verse, go into 2nd commentary, back to verse...
But does that create a history, like a browser history, so that I can quickly go back to the results of generated along the way? I hope that makes sense...
Next... I'm a Mike Heiser fan so lets take... Unseen Realm. I'm reading along in unseen realm, see a verse... open in a window. Read the passage. several words interest me... go to the interlinear. Notice several words in the hebrew. Word study all of them. Then go to the commentaries, dictionaries and encyclopedia on the verse, and then maybe go to a book on the customs of the people at that point in history.
Then, noting the point in time in history, I may jump to a book, that deals with that same point in time... in another culture.
Given the width and breath of resources in logos, one can chase down this rabbit hole... indefinitely.... but I dont think there's a way to drop bread crumbs, so that I can navigate around through all of that...
And then once you have chased around through that.... I go back to where I left off in Unseen Realm, until something catches my attention... and go through the whole process again.
Now... trying to keep track of that with Unseen Realm.... and then doing the whole process again with some question, somebody may have asked me... and again with a verse list generated from hearing a sermon...
I can sorta see that ... setting up a work space for Unseen Realm, another for my friends question and a 3rd for the verse list, might be a start... but do work spaces have bread crumbs?
2nd thought... The mobile app...
Lets say I'm reading my way through Unseen Realm... Reversing Hermon and the Demons book, amongst others....
Is there or could there be a way... in the mobile app... to have a drop down, that will list all the books I'm currently reading... so... if I'm bored at work, I can select one of them and read for a bit... maybe leave a book mark, so that when I get back to a desk top... I can go chase down the rabbit hole...
I know I can open the app and then open a window for each book and then I think the progress through the book will sync between the app and the computer... but if you have multiple windows open for books, and then more for say following a speaker through a sermon and then more for where you happen to reading through the bible... it can get unwieldly
Given that I'm going to home a lot for the next few weeks... one of my goals is to be able to do the above more fluidly and to get my library more organized...
