Why are Logos, Noet, & Verbum Indexing on BootUp

I have noticed that Logos, Noet & Verbum are indexing every time I boot up the computer.
I have tested this out to make sure this is what it is doing.
I have rebooted my computer several times & each time all 3 are indexing.
I have to manually go into task manager and stop them because I can't get anything done.
I had the computer on all day yesterday & I let them go through the indexing process to make sure they got all the indexing done, which they did.
Then this morning when I booted up, there they are again indexing...WHY???
I have never had this problem before, but now all of a sudden they are all indexing every time I boot up.
This is very annoying & I would like for this to stop.

I can't answer your question, but why do you have all three installed? One installation is taxing enough!

Default application design is indexer startup on user login (automatically update indexing, which can be helpful if previous session crashed). When nothing needs indexing, then indexer quickly quits. Diagnostic log files, especially indexer.log, should be helpful for understanding WHY - possibly a resource is causing indexer to crash: e.g. thread => 8.13 (8.13.0.0008) is now available discussion mentions a "bad" resource was released along with 8.13 that crashes indexer (with updated resource subsequently being released). Logos Wiki has => Diagnostic Logging (need to enable logging all the time to cause indexer.log file to populate - idea is enabling logging in one application followed by launching that application, which should start indexing).

Is there any way to turn this automatic indexing off?

The Help in the upper right corner has some Internet settings that might give you some relief.

I couldn't find anything there in the Help section that would help.

Are you on the latest release 8.13.0.0008? If so, there was a resource that messed up indexing. It's now fixed, but after it gets updated you have to complete indexing again.

Unfortunately, I had to do several restarts to get all the resources downloaded. Then the indexing. Fortunately, I have an SSD so the indexing only takes a few minutes. If you're in a hurry, just pause indexing or use the LogosWeb App. It doesn't need to index.

I agree with JT. I run everything with Logos only. You use 1 common ID. If you have multiple IDs, call customer service and have them combine all your resources. If you don't want to do that, you can switch IDs when you boot Logos by holding down the Ctrl key.

I dropped Noet rather quickly but always have both Verbum and Logos installed. I do so to get the complete feature set and to make beta testing simpler.

...but that isn’t normal usage.
