I'd be curious as to "Why?" Can you explain what is wrong with this post. I'm not a beta tester, so I have no reason to look at bugs in the beta channel - but the two of you. I just don't get it.

The beta for 4.0e is not out yet. By opening a post claiming there is a bug in 4.0e, Ebbe would be teasing and aggravating everyone waiting for the beta. It would make it look like the beta is out when it isn't yet.

Actually, someone else already did create that particular post. Ebbe isn't the one teasing and aggravating everyone. He is showing great restraint in not clicking the link and falling for the ploy, which some of us did.
Many of us who are beta testers are addicts. We get withdrawal symptoms when we don't have a new beta to play with after a week or two of shaking out the bugs in the previous one. And now that 4.0d has shipped we're already looking ahead to beginning the beta test cycle for 4.0e. We're just never satisfied!
