Is there no way to upload a document of any kind into the iPad version? I have some books which aren't available in the Logos store. I would like to use my iPad for it's intended use as an ebook reader editor. Thanks!

Personal books are not currently available on the FL mobile apps.

You may want to consider using the iOS books app.

    Hi Jon:

Personal Books do not sync to the mobile apps or the web app.

An alternative I sometimes use is to make a copy of the .docx file and strip out (via Find & Replace) any Logos tagging, but don't disturb the Heading styles, as they will work in a Kindle format. Using Calibre, I convert the .docx into a .mobi format Kindle book and copy it to my Android tablet to read it with the Kindle app. I assume you could do the same with the Kindle app for iOS. You might also be able to do this with the native iPad book reader, but I don't have experience with iStuff. I do know Calibre can convert to epub format.

If you need additional instructions on this, or need help obtaining and using Calibre, post back here.

Hi Robert! I have no issues with other apps on the iPad, I was just hoping that I could use Logos for some of my ebooks because of the built in bible support and ability to sync and highlight etc. I guess this feature won't be added but I can still use my laptop for more indepth studying of my ebooks. Thanks again, God Bless!

This is a feature that has been discussed over the years, probably since the the mobile apps were introduced.

I would not anticipate seeing this feature anytime in the near future.

    Carefully selected wording. Smiling.

In another Bible software package, my personal books were usable on all the supported platforms. I really enjoyed that. Really handy on Sunday mornings.

But 'choice of words' seems routine in everyday conversation. And I've often thought the Bible text was subject to the same issues. Leading to the benefit of Logos displaying 'choice of words'. Quite often pastors use it in sermons.

I tried the other Bible software package first for this reason however when highlighting text from an uploaded pdf, it results in a crash of the software. My main objective for the iPad was to highlight with the pen while reading, but this can still be done with Logos on any desktop or laptop computer.
