Minor notes paste annoyance

I'm working my way through an online seminary course (BiblicalTraining.org) and I've developed a workflow I love but with one annoying issue.

I keep a Logos Notebook for each course and copy-paste each lecture transcript (web) and worksheet (PDF) in as separate notes.

The beauty is that it links up all the citations in the text.

The annoyance is that it will not see paragraph returns from either format. I have tried pasting into both Word and Google Docs as an intermediate step, but that doesn't do much besides change the font.

Anybody have a good trick for getting the paragraph returns in? I've been adding them by hand while reading the text on my Mac, but that isn't as good an option when working off my iPad.

Thanks!

The only way I know do this is to paste the text from the web into Logos Notes as plain-text. I do so using my Copy-Paste app. But you can also do it by pasting it into a plain-text Textedit document. The disadvantage is that you lose all formating.
