issue with layouts - need help
Dear all,
I need some help. I used to have this problem 2 years ago and I fixed it back then. Now it is back. Somehow my default layouts are not available. I had my logos set up in a very nice way and now it is gone, I did not do anything to break it. Anyways, I am able to find the right layout among the saved once. I am able to open it. Problem is, it doesn't become a default layout. I want my logos to always look like this and when I search something in the toolbar, I would love search results to always open accordingly to my default layout. Can you help? Thank you!

Not at my computer at the moment but check Tools-->Program Settings-->Open to option.

I see that the desired layout is selected in tools, but when I search something it goes to some weird layout.

Uninstalling and reinstalling is seldom a solution for issues in Logos. I am unclear about what you problem is, so let me tell you what I understand you saying.
- When you start Logos it opens your desired layout
- When you perform a search, the layout changes to something else.
Is that correct?
If so, how are you doing the search? If you are using the Go box then the layout will change to an internal default. Is that what you are experiencing?

Thank you very much for reacting. I think I fixed it. I was playing with all settings yesterday.
Indeed, the problem I had was exactly as you describe. When I was starting logos, it had my desired layout and then when I was doing the search it went to a very different one. Somehow I fixed it by trying different options.
The only thing that I am not able to crack is when I have several commentaries opened as tabs and want to open one of them as a floating window, it get's opened, but it is immediately hidden and I need to go to the menu bar, select it and open it. It is not like when I click open as a floating window and it stays on the screen as a floating window. Is this the feature or a bug?
Thanks!

I have two monitors most of the time. Therefore, if I float an open commentary, it will open in my second screen. If I dod the same thing on my Macbook, then it opens on top of my main screen and I normally create additional virtual desktops I can scroll between. I am not sure why yours is opening the way you describe.
What are you system specs?
