Is the ability to add tables coming to Logos Notes in any kind of update?

That is something that has been requested by some for a number of years. When the new Notes Tool was being tested several years ago it was discussed, but was never added.
Someone from from Faithlife would have to comment on future plans, but they do not typically make any commitments to new features in the forums.

You should add your request fot this to the 'Logos 9 wishlist' thread too. This, together with the essential need for images in notes, is currently a major deficiency in Logos.

I don't really view images as essential, but tables are definitely essential.

Just as a clarification, by "images' I don't mean photos or pictures, I mean maps, diagrams, arrows, infographics, screenshots of markup etc - I use these all the time. Unfortunately, these are often stored in the same format as photos etc (jpg, png, svg etc).
Tables, agreed, are absolutely essential, but so are maps, diagrams and infographics in my workflow.

We used to be able to paste a table from Word into a note, but no longer. as of L9, the text goes in but is scrambled.

I have found that and it seems like a big step backwards rather than forwards.

Just for the record: this suggestion with 74 votes is long outdated. People wanting to vote for tables in notes would now go here: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-desktop-app/posts/add-support-for-tables-in-notes which says it "needs your opinion" although with currently 212 votes this is the third-most-voted entry for updates on the desktop and probably the fourth-most-voted suggestion overall (noting that from my point of view, a technical solution should work on mobile apps and the web app as well, at least pasting and viewing tables, maybe editing table cell content should work on all platforms, too. Full creation and editing of tables as structures is a different thing)
