"Preparing your Library" forever, new install, on a 2020 MacBook Air
Hello all,
I just installed the program (Logos) on a 2020 MacBook Air.
After downloading the resources, and starting the program once, I now only see the "preparing your library" notification and the program will not start. It's been a full 24 hours with multiple restarts.
I also downloaded the program again and reinstalled, as per the help center page.
I can't provide a log because it won't start up. Any ideas?

Suggest enabling Diagnostic Logging (using Logos logging utility) followed by restarting 2020 MacBoor Air then open Logos to see if "preparing your library" appears again: if so, please wait 15 minutes. If "preparing your library" message still shows, please create an archive of log files (e.g. "Archive Logs" button in Logos logging utility) followed by uploading archive (zip) as part of reply to this thread.
Diagnostic log files can help humans research "preparing your library" cause (especially Logos.log and Indexer.log files)
Logos Help Center (LHC) includes How-to-Enable-and-Submit-Log-Files
Logos Wiki has => Diagnostic Logging
FYI: past trouble shooting of starting up various Logos versions has used Diagnostic Logging. Console utility in macOS can have Diagnostic log files open while Logos is running (so can see diagnostic messages as they are written).

Keep Smiling,
I took your advice and downloaded the logging utility.
The next time I started the program, it worked! I am so happy about this.
I appreciate your patient kindness to help me with this issue!

FYI: for beta testing, personally have logging always enabled, which can be helpful when a crash happens.
