Keep Screen On not working (consistently)

Is anyone else seeing inconsistent behavior with the "Keep screen on" option? I have that checked, and at times, it will keep the screen on all day long if I let it. However, when I'm actually holding it and LOOKING at the screen, it defaults to the system screen time-out settings I have in place and goes dark after 1 minute. I'll even have it upright on a stand, and it times out, but if I then lay it flat and ignore it, the screen stays on.

Oddities abound! 0_o

This is an Android phone, btw.

    It works too good on iOS. I wish there were a time out after 30-60 minutes.
