New notes not appearing
My new notes are not appearing in BHS.
When I highlight a word or letter in Hebrew, and right click add note, and select a note symbol, the note I typed does not show up in BHS. This has never been an issue for me before.
Here is a 2 minute video example demonstrating what I'm talking about.
The notes file is select to be displayed in this resource: See pic
Am I doing something wrong?

From your video you are creating the note against the lemma.
Try selecting "selection" on the left side of the context menu and then adding the note.
Edit: I couldn't see your picture without downloading it which I didn't want to do. You should be able to upload pictures using the paperclip icon in the editor.

Great video explanation, good thinking about the VF menu.

your pic shows the stteing in the VF menu for the corresponding notes (i.e. notes you made in another bible but the SESB BHS). What about the "normal" setting for Notes in this resource?

That did it. I don't recall ever having to do that before. Perhaps the focus is no defaulting to the lemma?
It's still too bad it highlights the entire Hebrew word instead of just the part I want highlighted. chances are if I see just the ב beit highlighted with a note I'll remember the context of my note without having to click on it but with the whole word highlighted, unlikely.
Thanks Graham. BTW why didn't you want to download the .png file? I've never heard of an image file having a virus since it wouldn't have an opportunity to execute.

Good point; I checked it's also enabled.

The context menu remembers the last position you used. So if, for example, you have used it to access a Bible Word Study Guide from a lemma then the next time you use the context menu to highlight something it will still be pointing to lemma. Hence the need to check and, in this case, to change to Selection.

If you set Text Selection to Character in Program Settings, you should simply be able to select the portion you want and highlight against that.

I haven't heard of an example either but general caution makes me cautious!

It is set on "character." I have a thread I started about this a March 4th about this.
Turns out it's a bug with highlighting in Hebrew.

Seems this was first reported as a bug in Oct. 17, 2019 so who knows if it's being worked.
For those of us who spend most of our time in Hebrew it would be really nice to have the highlight-annotations function working reliably.
