Notes without Anchors
Is it possible to enter a note from a Logos resource to include metadata but no anchors

What metadata are you referring to? The metadata for the anchor requires an anchor. However, there is some metadata that applies to the note that is unrelated to any anchor. Just click "new note" in the Note tool.

MJ, I've known you for a decade. You and Rosie have given me more valid info than the rest of the forum and support articles and videos combined! I'm flattered that you responded.
I have taught a very senior Bible Class, average age > 80, 20+ years and am just getting my feet wet with the new Logos 8 Notes.
What I want to accomplish is the ability to take notes from multiple resources, both Logos and other, and sort by book, chapter and verse, without anchors. Is it possible, without anchors, for Logos resources? How about non-Logos resources?
I've accomplished pretty much all of this awkwardly with a word processor. If I ask too much I'll clutter everything with anchors.

In order to be able to sort, you need the anchors' metadata. However, it is very easy to hide the anchors so they aren't cluttering the landscape.
- Open the filters and highlights menu
- If you uncheck "Notes and Highlights" none of your anchors will show.
- If you check/uncheck individual notebooks, you can limit the number of anchors that show.
If you are patient in learning it, the Sermon Builder does work well for lessons despite FL not advertising it as such or making the few changes that would be useful for lessons. You are working with a great age group ... at least in my experience they are very humble about their knowledge but often say wise and insightful things.

What a sensational response. I have tried for 2 mo to get this answer. No FL support has come close. I am anchor free; off and running.
I so completely agree with your thought that seniors offer "wise and insightful" depth to any class. Class participation is the backbone of our gatherings.
