Books not on device!
Hi,
In my library I have 24 books that are not on any device. They appear to be user books where somehow or other the original files have got lost.
The problem is how to remove them from the library as they show up in searches. If you click on any of them it says downloading and the circle just keeps rotating forever. I have tried re-indexing the library but that doesn't remove them. If I right click on them there is no option to delete. I'm sure there must be a way but I cannot figure it out.

By "searches," do you mean "when filtering my library?" If that is the case, and if these are actually personal books, you must "hide" the resources. https://wiki.logos.com/Hiding_Books

sorry not to reply sooner, my wife is in hospital and I’ve not had much time. sometimes when I do a search within my library it will throw up one or more of these books. If I then click on them it tries to load them but just keeps on and on. Obviously it cannot find the files because I don’t have them! logos won’t let me hide them because it doesn’t recognise them, only when searching does it do so.
I have tried re-indexing library but it makes no difference. I know it’s not a big problem in the scale of things, but it does annoy me.

Can you post a screenshot (use the paperclip icon) showing a sample set of search results and indicate one of the problem resources?

Thank you JT, much appreciated. What was expected to be a small operation requiring a two day stay turned into something much more serious when my wife had a heart attack. She has now been in hospital for just over four weeks but is at last starting to get a little better. There have been many complications along the way but the Lord is helping us to cope.I've attached 3 screen shots. The first one shows a search of the library for a partial title. One of the results is a book which when I click on it give the result as shown in picture 2. Picture 3 shows filter set to "books not on this device" and these are what I'm trying to find a way to get rid of. At some time I downloaded the files for these books but then found so many errors in the process of building them that I gave up. I hasten to add that they are not on any other devices.

The only way to remove the resources from showing up in the library (as shown in your screenshots) is to HIDE the books. See wiki link I provided earlier.

I reread this just now. I <think> you will need to rebuild your library catalog. I will let someone smarter than me advise.
