How to Explore Phrase Dataset

Is there a way to explore the Phrase Dataset for a given resource (where available)? I would like to search all phrases in the dataset.

Example: Search English or Greek or other languages for phrases like "City of David," "Kingdom of Heaven," etc.

Hopefully such exploration could be made of some other datasets as well.

This is why I believe that interactives should be more widely available ... they provide the browse and explore functions that allow you to truly understand the data.

Reading Venable, Peter. Biblical Phrases: Dataset Documentation. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2016. which documents no Search function, I believe this to be peek-a-boo data ... data that will be shown to you at Faithlife's whim not data you can explore and understand. I doubt that is the FL party line or the intent ... merely the result of a series of small decisions.

You can search for those phrases exactly as you have stated (with quotes). But use the Phrases section of Bible Word Study to find all the phrases associated with City or Kingdom. You search by clicking on the phrase. To search in Greek, enter the appropriate Greek word e.g. πόλις for "city".

Thanks Dave. Yes, I can search for known phrases in various languages such as עִ֥יר דָּוִֽיד or πόλει Δαυίδ or City of David in 1 & 2 Chron. or Luke or elsewhere.

I don't need the dataset to do that.

I also realize that the phrase dateset is a way to tag phrases for the Factbook or Topic Guide, and for identifying how words may be used in phrases in Bible Word Studies.

I was hoping to be able to explore all phrases in the dataset.

Imagine a faceted dataset interactive where we could find all significant lexical phrases in the Gospels or Psalms, or Proverbs, as determined through a lot of work by Peter Venable et al.
