Automatic saves of Notes to both your local computer and the cloud are great.

But what about the rare case where you inadvertently deleted or changed something and later you want it back, or you want to see the text before the changes you made.  This could be immediately after the deletion/change, or it might be weeks or months later before you realize that you need the data back.

The version history in applications like EverNote are really good solutions to this, IMHO.  However, automation of this process would not be necessary.  Just the ability to easily save a copy of your Notes locally to your pc would do the trick.  The user could decide when a backup copy of a particular point in time would be necessary and just make the backup manually.

Even the knowledge of which particular files are necessary to backup Notes would be sufficient, if they are not imbedded as part of a bigger database.  Of course, you would need a way to restore them to a usable form without modifying the current Notes.  It would not be desirable to restore an older set of Notes and then have them automatically replace your newer Notes automatically.

Any thoughts on accomplishing such a feature?
