How to do a search that includes verbs and at the same time excludes sentences that contain adverbs

I am trying to conduct a sophisticated search of New Testament Greek.

I am looking for all sentences that contain a verb in the indicative and at the same time do not contain a list of adverbs.

I would do a similar search that also contains a verb and that does not contain a list of specific adjectives.

The classic example is John 11:35 (Jesus wept) 35 Ἐδάκρυσεν ὁ Ἰησοῦς.  I am trying to discover if there are other verses that do not contain any contextual temporal indicators in the sentence.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does <LogosMorphGr ~ V??I????>  ANDNOT <LogosMorphGr ~ B?> give you what you want (run this as a Morph Search) or are you looking for something different?

  • Does <LogosMorphGr ~ V??I????>  ANDNOT <LogosMorphGr ~ B?> give you what you want

For Verses whose numbering aligns with Greek sentence boundary, this Morph Search works. However, Chapter and Verse numbering lack alignment in a number of places: e.g. John 11:26 has two Greek sentences with one of them having an adverb.

John 11:35 numbered verse has three words in Greek while 1 Thessalonians 5:16 and 1 Thessalonians 5:17 have two Greek words.
