Biblical places/people not populating.
My biblical places/people header is showing grey and not populating while I use the various guides. I have the Logos 8.15.0.0004/platinum. Win 10 OS. I am new to Logos and just learning to use it.

Thanks. [:D]. Isn't faithlife connect subscription automatic with Logos? And am not sure about the feature set too [:(]. I am from overseas and I bought Logos 8 Gold last year and upgraded to Platinum a couple of weeks back. Am starting to learn it through the MP seminars now. Its set to automatic updates. Am pretty sure that the places/people thing was working fine before but now it isn't.
Sorry if it seems dumb. But will be real glad if it could get solved.

So not sure what is going on here - are you able to post a screenshot (using the paperclip icon in the forum editor) showing what you are describing?

As Graham wrote, FC is a paid subscription.
The software is free... Some of the features are not. Typically, features which depend upon "data sets" require a purchase or subscription.
Faithlife's largest source of revenue traditionally has been through the sale of "value added" resources. A number of years ago, FL moved to spread out their income stream, so that not so much was dependent upon large purchases every 2-3 years. FC was a part of that.

It may be good to verify what you actually own.
THIS link will take you to the full feature set. If you own everything, it should indicate such. FWIW - I "own" the features through L6 and have "rented" (through subscription) the features in L7 & L8.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Let me see if I got you correct. I didn't take the faithlife connect subscription but bought the entire Logos Gold for the first time by paying upfront I think 1500$. That I think is different from the FC subscription, right?
I'll post the screenshots. Hope it helps.
The above is what comes up when I take up the passage guide. You can see that the 'biblical places & people' are in grey. It is not populating. And this is happening in the other guides too. I tried restarting Logos but the same result.
The second is what comes up when I click the link which Mr. JT had put in his reply. From what I understand I own the entire feature set.

- Check on the About Logos page in the application to see what package it says you are running.
- Are you certain that you are running under the same email address that you purchased the package under?

1. It says Logos 8.15.0.0004. Under features it says "All Features".
2. It's licensed to the same account through which I purchased it.

I am stumped ... I think either your required datasets did not download or their index is corrupted. But short of reindexing everything, I don't know the correct terms to fix it. I suggest that you contact Logos via chat to avoid costs.

Just wanted to let you know that my problem got solved after calling Logos cust care. Apparently the data related to 'biblical people and places' wasn't downloaded under my resources to my computer. Once that happened, that got solved.
Just wanted to thank all of you for taking an interest and providing your help.
