Yes
Open the tools menu
Select highlighting
Select the word in your text
Click on the hightlighting style you want to use
Yes, select the word and apply highlighting. Look under help or in the wiki under highlighting if you have problems, Basic highlighting is what you do manually, visual filters are what you set up rules for.
