Septuagint Translation in Word Study
Dear All,
In the word study there is the Septuagint Translation tool, but I only get a little description with no functionality and no "Settings". It is listed as included in Logos Basic up, but do I also need to get a certain version of the Septuagint in order for it to work? I don't see a mention of that in any of the literature.
I have Verbum 8 Silver and the Lexham Greek-English Interlinear Septuagint.
Thanks for any orientation you can give me.

That's either doing a hebrew BWS with an LXX translation, or an LXX lookup (what you're doing).
I'd await additional comments. Also, if you do buy, check the packages that include it; the academic's are good.

I have Verbum 8 Silver and the Lexham Greek-English Interlinear Septuagint.
That will not work. It needs Logos LXX (above) or LXX Swete (the Old Testament in Greek: According to the Septuagint).

Ok, I'm having the same problem and I own Logos LXX and LXX Swete. Is there a setting that I'm missing to turn on the Septuagint Translation in the Bible Word Study section. I also own Logos 9 bronze.

Are you entering a Greek word?

Not specifically, I'm using an English translation with inline reverse interlinear turned on. I select a word in the NT and then select Bible Word Study. The new tab includes the Greek word study but the Septuagint translation section just has this brief explanation (see screen shot). When I select "settings" like the text describes nothing happens.

I get the Septuagint section only when I start from a Septuagint Bible such as the Lexham Englist Septuagint. What Bible are you using to select the word?

If I right-click a word in the NT of a reverse-interlinear enabled Bible (such as NIV) and select the lemma in the context menu, then the Septuagint section appears populated in the resulting BWS Guide.

It didn't for me. I checked before posting ... now I'll have to go back and see why.

Thanks Graham and MJ. Basically, I want to reference the use of a particular NT English word, to the Greek word, to see where its used in the Septuagint OT. I know this can be done as I watched Tim Mackie do it in a Bible Project Classroom session called Biblical Words.

For this section to work, you need a Septuagint plus its corresponding reverse interlinear resource. It appears that you own "The Lexham Greek-English Interlinear Septuagint: H.B. Swete Edition", but this is not one of the supported resources, because it does not have a reverse interlinear.
You need one of:
- The Old Testament in Greek according to the Septuagint and it's corresponding reverse interlinear
- Septuagint with Logos Morphology and it's corresponding reverse interlinear
It appears that you already own the reverse interlinear for "The Old Testament in Greek according to the Septuagint", so purchasing that base text should get you going.

I am having a similar problem when I go to the Suffering Servant passage in the LXX. Can someone advise me how to fix it? I am trying to do a study on a section of the passage. 11e καὶ τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν αὐτὸς ἀνοίσει.
