I was after the recommended computer specification to run logos 4 very well, not just the minimum. E.g. graphics/processor/hard drive/ ram etc...
(if i was running windows 7 by the way!)
Thanks
The official recommended requirements for running Logos 4 on a PC are:
I would basically agree. The four crucial components are: graphics card, RAM, CPU and hard drive.
Can't say i have official proof or states, but I really believe in getting a graphics card with dedicated memory. A laptop I got 2 years ago has it and I believe it has made a huge difference. It runs L4 very well.
Thank you very helpfull
I would disagree with the 7200 rpm being the "bare minimum"
I have several computers I run Logos 4 one. One machine is a very high end quad core i7 with 8gb of ram, another is a dual core intel witjh 4 gb of ram. Both at 5600 and its super fast. Results display before I even finish typing the words most of the time.
Not many laptoops/desktops come with 7200 rpm hard drives, and unless you are working with HD video files, or high end audio tools you won't get much bang for your buck from 5600 to 7200 rpm if you are just doing it for Logos. I'd go for the ram, that's going to be one of the most important things..!
Good luck, and enjoy!

Yes, Logos have confirmed that Windows 7/Vista will use extra RAM for disk caching & this can nullify the advantage of a 7200+ RPM HDD and some SSD's. I have no complaints with my 2 GB, 5400 RPM Windows XP laptop (see below).
