When to use a Notebook

What are your thoughts on when to use a notebook?  I realize that I can create a note and attach it to a notebook or I can let it stand alone. In the book I am studying now I am storing my highlights in a notebook. What logic do you use in determining whether or not to put your notes in a Notebook? Thanks.

I use a Notbook for every Book of the Bible...and a Highlight Palette with another Notbook also seperated in Bible Books. So I can click "show Notes and Highlights" seperatly hope this helps

Thank you Sascha John. Yes that is what I was looking for. I understand how to make notes and highlights.  What I was looking for is how are other Logos users using Notebooks.

Since the new Notes Tool, I use them as little as possible. I have them for specific types of highlights and then I also use them when I want to be sure to be able to turn specific notes/highlights off of via the visual filter.  The only other time I use them is for notes that are part of a project that may not be tied/anchored to a specific resource.

One thing I use notebooks for is Study Notes. What I mean by that is I have several study Bibles not available in Logos and when I am studying with them, I will type the notes in those study Bibles to a resource notebook, that way, I can turn them on and off in visual filters and / or see easily whether I have already digitized those notes. After reading through this thread, however, I will probably be getting rid of a lot of notebooks that are not necessary.

One question I have is this, I tend to create a scripture anchor for every verse referenced in the note, and, early on, right after release of version 8, only the first anchor was showing up in facets, not all the others.  I was informed at the time that issue would be rectified, and I just haven't thought to check since to see if it has been. Does anyone know if the note will show up under both scripture references if there is more than one anchor for a note?

    Thanks, Carla
