Noticing books I've not ordered

I'm paying once a year for what I still call Logos now and I'm seeing books here I've not any interest in whatsoever. Though I've got oodles of space on my SSD, is there a way I can take those books out of there? I just noticed them because of an update and checked the list & yikes! Anyway, it would be nice to get them out of there if for anything else, just the space thing.

There is no way to prevent them from being added to your library. You can, however, create a “skinny” install and have those (and any other books you choose) function only from the cloud.

I cannot do screen prints right now because I am on my work computer, but you can hide the resources in your library you do not want to see. I think it is in program settings, and you just drag the titles to the Hide these resources box and then you do not see them in your library any more unless you restore them.

Thanks both of you folks for the replies. If they're there, they're there & that's ok. The hiding though is an interesting thing which I guess I've heard of before but forgotten about it. I take it that it's because of the Logos Now thing.

By the way, a 'skinny install' - is that an install right from scratch again? Just curious.

No - being able to hide resources has been around for a long time.

One of the standard ways of doing it is at installation time but resources can be offloaded to the cloud at any time.

If you open your library, select a resource and open the information tab you will see an indicator (just below the title and author) showing whether it is downloaded or not. You can use that button to either download a resource from the cloud or remove it from your device and just have it in the cloud.

You can select multiple resources to "offload" them at the same time.

Even though they are no longer on your device, they still do show up in searches (in a separate section of the search results)

Personally I think this is a better approach than hiding books - but I'm sure other views are available!

Agreed.

In general I keep them around though. Sometimes people I disagree with ask interesting questions. I just tag them so that I know where the title is coming from theologically.
