As a non native German speaker with limited vocabulary, is Die Bibel: Lutherübersetzung (2017) the direct replacement for Luther(1984)
No worries! Yes, that is the official 2017 revision of Luther 1984.
thanks Ben, final question have they left it as was or have they neutered the text like Zondervan did with NIV 2011
For more information about the changes of the 2017 revision, you could try to read this article (e.g. using Google translate):

Thank you very helpful, will add it to my library asap, and dust off my schoolboy German, LOL
if anything, they reverted it back from the 1984 version towards a more "classic", distinctively "sounds like Luther" feeling. Maybe this was to cater to the demographics of the user base, or to focus more on the usage scenario of reading in a dimly lit, five-hundred-year old church building. The same publisher puts out BasisBibel with short sentences and many explanations etc. as an offer to the younger generation and to those who favor readability.
