Prevent layout from moving app
Is there a way to autosave the current layout options?
My computer setup uses 3 screens. Depending on what I'm doing, I may open Logos and place it on a particular screen. However, when I do something, like performing a search, Logos resets the layout to what was last saved. That usually results in the Logos window jumping to another screen. The only way I've found around this seems to be to save the current layout first. However, if I move the window for some reason, and then search again, it will always jump back to the last saved position.
Alternatively, is it possible to simply ignore the saved layouts and just use whatever it currently active? Once again, if I'm using the "Passage Study" layout and I've resized panes for this session, if I perform a search for another passage, the layout resets to the last saved. My experience would be a lot better if I could turn this feature off.

This sounds very strange - I haven't experienced that.
Are you able to record a video showing this behaviour and post a link to this thread?

Do you mean that you are effectively refreshing the Passage Guide or are you just running a search?

Welcome [:D]
Curious how search is being performed ?
Description sounds like search term(s) are being entered in command box followed by using Layout suggestion:
The last three command box suggestions cause a Search tab to be opened in existing layout.

Yes, passage location can be changed in an existing layout. If linked, then other resources in link set receive location change. If resource does not have that verse, that resource changes to the next available verse followed by sending location change to other linked tab(s). Hence personally avoid linking a commentary that does not have every verse.

Layouts menu has option to customize Quick Start Layout (Replace with current layout)
FYI: personally use layout(s) to (re)open desired set of tab(s). Passage & Search can be changed/refined without opening layout.
Keep Smiling [:)]
