I have 2595 books in my Library. I am trying to find the books that deal with how we got the Bible. I have tried several things but it is not working.

It depends on your library ... I'd start with "canon NEAR formation" (without the quotes)
If you're looking for whole books that deal with that subject and you're talking about using the "Find resources" box in the Library (as opposed to the Search tab across the contents of your library resources), then try this:
subject:"bible--canon"
That does leave out some of the ones I have in my library that are about how we got the Bible (some of them have subject "Bible--History" but that subject also picks up tons of other books that are not what you want).
I suggest you create a tag of your own to tag the books you find in your library that are about how the Bible canon was formed and then you can make a collection of them using mytag:Canon for example.

Wow, that's a shame. They do have lots of Clarendon Press books, but most of them are pre-1950, so I guess they don't have a current relationship with that publisher.
