Security & Upgrade information

While it is quite convenient to automatically download upgrades, I was wondering what you are doing to prevent hackers and terrorists from using this functionality to create chaos?
Also - when a function that I have tried doesn't seem to work well, I usually try a work around or quit trying to use the function - If I don't know that it has been fixed, then I probably won't try to use it. Consequently the function is lost.
Thanks,
Gail

Each update to Logos 4 comes with a list of what has been added or fixed. However, sometimes you may not recognize that a fix goes with the problem you saw. You may also think that a feature doesn't work when you don't have your application configured to make it work for you. So welcome to the forums - ask us questions often and you'll not be wasting features by not using them (it they are working).[:D]

Good questions.
MJ has answered the second issue. I hope to answer the first.
The transmission of executable files and resources only goes one way, from the Logos servers downloaded to the end users. It would be very difficult for an outsider to upload malicious files to the servers. I also doubt there is sufficient reward for anyone to try.
Presently the files that are synchronized (uploaded) with Logos are kept securely separate within each user's account. The settings are not accessible by other users. In the future it might be possible to share collections, PBBs or other user created material. I'm sure Logos is thoughtfully considering how to regulate such exchanges to minimize any malicious or damaging activity.
The only way terrorists may affect Logos is by destroying or otherwise interrupting internet infrastructure. If that were to happen we would have bigger problems to worry about. But we could still use our Logos software offline.
