if it’s not Logos 9, they’re probably going to have a virtual riot 😉

Mine says 6 a.m. -- much more reasonable given that I share a time zone with them.

Hmm, either I misread it or they changed the AM/PM. Either way, it does say AM now.

[+o(] Stalkbook ... I shouldn’t be surprised with the path this company has been on for a long time now. [+o(]
Next launch event will be on Tik Tok

Here’s what someone suggested:
1 Samuel=9th book of OT
Darkness=9th plague
Jehoram= 9th king
False witness=9th commandment
Ephesians=9th book of NT (if Cor counts as 1)And they forgot to include that Monday is the date I predicted (10/26/2020) 👍😁👌 Then again, with 2020 being a crazy year they might announce that L9 will come out at a later date 😂 I still think Monday is the date, though 👍😁👌

Clearly, Mr. Bob Pritchard is announcing a last minute write-in campaign for President of the USA. He has my vote.

Well, to quote myself, he’s building a new Logos and he’ll get Accordance to pay for it 😉

I think that this is probably about as close as Faithlife could get to a product release timing announcement without announcing a product's release timing.

The word "unbound" is an interesting choice.

I think you mean Bob Pritchett... he wouldn’t get my vote since I’m not a US citizen.

I really hope it's 9 since I just bought my Silver package like last week as a Wordsearch refugee.

I would be fine with a free subscription service.

Call and see what kind of deal you might be able to get. You should be able to get a better deal due to the circumstances.

Talk to your sales rep or to customer service after whatever comes out Monday is released. They'll take care of you.

You may like what you have better, and they may give you additional discounts if you purchase another package. Or they may let you return, and re-purchase the new one... Depending on what you ask for.
they are very considerate and customer forward in these situations.

A hard launch of the web app to a wider audience. About four years ago give or take on exact details FL started on a journey of a new web app and notes tool. With Logos 8 they released and very much unfinished notes tool which was a significant part of, but not all of course, of the web app. There is always more potential enhancements to come for the web app and the notes tool but one could say they are now reasonably well developed after this period of time, so Logos Unbound is Logos inbound from a desktop installation, unbound from a mobile device installation, Unbound from the need to instal, you can access your resources, user created content and major Tools through a Browse. With WS now out of the picture along with its web app FL is probably the only major bible software provider which backs up its installation bound applications with a significant installation unbound application through a web browser. And being unbound to an installation it is unbound to an operating system.
it is however bound in one significant way - bound to the need for a reliable internet connection.
P.S. there is probably no truth in this scenario so we’ll have to wait and see what the author intended the text to mean rather than reading our own interpretation into the text, but it is interesting to read what people think it means all the same [H]

Thanks for the tips. Thats actually what I was referring to, "I'm glad it wasn't a few weeks later and outside the 30 day window". This is going to be fortunate for my fellow WS refugees who have used their 50% offer recently.
So far I'm extremely pleased with FL/Logos, especially the staff and community.0 -

Unbound, or "release" - Logos 9 released.
Or, since "Logos" has five letters, and "Unbound" has seven letters, it's Logos 12, the same number as the tribes and apostles and gates in the New Jerusalem.
And, it's 6 am Washington time. On a Monday. Because, as we know, every pastor is up before dawn on Monday morning.

Perhaps they're timing it for the benefit of British pastors.

I won’t be watching as it’s Monday night for me and I’ll be in the middle of meeting with my bible study group.

9AM on the East Coast... Doesn't matter what time you pick it is going to be inconvenient for someone. But the fact is they will get the majority of users in that time slot.

They usually stream it on Faithlife.com as well so you can watch it there. Although I don't think you have to have a Facebook account to watch an open live stream on Facebook. You would just navigate to Logos' Facebook page and watch.

If you have the link to their facebook page (which is easily google-able) you should be able to watch it without a Facebook account.

I'm in the same time zone as Faithlife, However, if you note when I post, you'll realize that to watch I'd have to stay up an extra couple or hours or so ...or simply skip a night of sleep. So no, I'll not be watching.

As Northern California is under a potential power shutdown warning, I might end up missing anything that is announced Monday online 🤦♂️

You could drive across the border into Oregon and watch it while having breakfast. We're still in the same time zone for a few more days. We're switching to Arizona time on Nov. 1, or permanent Pacific Daylight Time.

I'm not sure if I will tune in. But I already emailed my rep that I will order my new base package through him.

My guess is that they’re going to ditch the numbering system in some way, hence unbound

I expect ”Unbound” means either
(1) a fully functioning web app, or
(2) an unlocked subscription service that you pay by the month ( I think you can already get that in IOS), so-
I hope it’s number (1)
The web app has had a number of updates recently. I don’t know what was updated but if I left had to reload the page on three occasions with e message saying a new version was available. Not sure if that is usual.

Maybe being "unbound" is fully functioning features on the desktop version without having to be connected to the internet! I would benefit from that greatly.
Maybe it's a more fully-functioning mobile (iOS/Android) version of the app?
Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be nice (and hopefully mature enough for release).

I still want Logos to be unbound from computers. Just design and upload my library through a neural interface please.

Or maybe “Unbound” in the sense that the speed issue will no longer bound the software and it will finally be lightning fast!

When I mentioned Logos X, I got shot down pretty quickly by those committed to "Logos 9" - https://community.logos.com/forums/p/194104/1120505.aspx#1120505

I would be VERY VERY disappointed if they moved away from an installed version of the software. I often go long periods without internet. We have no internet at the church. While I don't travel as much as I used to, I used to write my sermons on the plane.
Right now, I have a powerful laptop and over 6000 books at my fingertips without having to go online to access them. It is one of the reasons I went with Logos so many years ago. I would greatly miss that ability.0
